I bought these for my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. Order was $[...] with shipping and arrived on time. Quality is much better than price. I like this much better than the stock flip down DVD players that came with these vans for $1500+.
I only use the player for long trip videos for my 2 and 4 year old and works great for this purpose. I have not used the headphones or games.
Install was easier for my van. I did not adjust the headrest poles. They were a little wide but allowed for tension to adjust them up and down. Instructions are worthless as others have indicated but to move the poles you have to remove the DVD player from the headrest with smale screws and then loosen small screws to adjust in and out and seems a little hard to adjust. Luckly I did not need any adjustment. Color is off for my silver van with grey interior but I own a used van with two small kids so could care less and isn’t that noticable.
I took the back of the seats off using star bolts. This made it very easy to send the wires through the seat. I have the center console that removes and removed the floor plate with four screws. I removed the lower part of the dash with exposed screws. I ran all wires under the carpet through the removed center console to under the passenger seat where I removed the cover.
Spliced to the power outlet under the radio marked with a key. Ran these wires back to the removed center console and then to under the passenger seat. Hook everything together. Hook up is all marked. All you will need is some wire cutters, strippers, solderless connecters, black and red wire. Rest all hooks together. If you are uncomfortable splicing into your wiring I imagine you could hook wires to a male power outlet and just plug it in. Start where you plan to hook together and then run back to the players since you can only fish one end of the a/v wires.
Only suggestion I have is I would have run all wires to under the dash by the power outlet since now I have a bundle of wires under the passenger seat but really not that big of a deal, not really in the way. Green wire is just an FM anntenna so do not hook this to anything. Only need this to run through your stereo which I do not plan to do.
Players are the same unit. If you want to play on both you just switch a/v to pick up the other like switching the TV to pickup a dvd player. Picture and sound is good.

My Tv’s only lasted 3 months! Just after the 90 day warranty had expire the two Tv’s stop working. Moreover, there is no manufacture warranty since the Tv’s are fake. I contacted Sony and they are investigating the issue. Stay away they are fake copies!
beware don’t buy from this seller! liars! bad communication and they refused to fix my product so instead they cut the wires and returned it to me and blamed me for cutting wires. they left me with no choice to ever be able to return the item. very mad! i only had it for less then 30 days. stay away!
After reading everyone’s reviews, my wife and I decided to buy this unit — what a mistake! After less than three months of only occasional use, one unit has stopped working entirely. We used it less than 30 minutes a day 4 or 5 days a week. That’s it! And there were no small fingers touching it because our son is only one year old and too small to reach the DVD player. Because one unit broke, we turned on the second one, which had not been used since it was installed, only to find that It didn’t work either. And did I mention it’s never been used? What an absolute piece of garbage. And although we were aware that there was no warrantee on this product, our previous experience with Amazon sellers have always led to some sort of agreeable settlement with faulty merchandise. Not so with this seller, EliteAutoSoundSales. After informing them that we had obviously received a lemon, we received a curt email back from them saying it’s been over 30 days and the return period has expired. Don’t buy this product — especially from this horrible seller. Now that I look back on the other reviews, I see that most of them focus on how easy it is to use and how it looks good — but very few of them comment on the longterm quality of the player itself. I was fooled — but please do not make the same mistake I did!
Due the xmas rush i can’t install these on arraiving, but once i have time it takeme about 15 minutes to install each, my daugther really enjoy it, she is 3 and no problem with any dvd region, rx to the original radio on my truck, usb, and sd, the entretainment prupose i bougth it for was fullfilled over my espectations.

With a little knowledge of how to wire power in a car, it is extremely easy to install. Google “installing headrests” and you will find some good information

Cons: the remote control isn’t the best I’ve seen (my wife has already gotten frustrated with it)
Make sure the color matches your interior (only one shade of gray which is a little lighter than my interior, but it doesn’t bother me… I’m looking at function over form)
Overall: I have had this unit for only a week and need more time with it, but after using it on a 12 hr road trip I think it is safe to say that my son and I love it. I also love how easy it is to hook an ipod or other device up to it.
This is a really nice unit. It was easy enough to install (just hookup power and ground). You have to snake the wires down the inside of the seat, but this should be pretty simple in most cars.
The factory headrest on my 2005 Ford Escape was enough to pull out, and this DVD headrest pushed right into the factory spot with no modifications. The height is still adjustable and locks in place just like the factory headrest.
The entire headrest unit tilts, or pivots, and the base to adjust for the best viewing angle.
My favorite part is that when it is zipped up, it looks like a regular factory headrest.
The DVD player itself works fine. It starts up quickly. You get all the regular controls on the unit itself and also with the remote. I tested with some backup copies of my DVDs, and a few originals. Everything works perfectly.
In short, I highly recommend this Roadview 7 inch Headrest Monitor with integral DVD.
First one we received didn’t work at all. 2nd one powered up and worked for a couple days, then started working only sporadically and now doesn’t work at all again. It’s only around a month old. Don’t waste your time and money.
i have nothing to say thats bad about this product. it easy to use and the picture is great!!! doesnt have any sound but i knew that when i bought it!! awsome price. allot cheaper than the name brand leaders but works and looks just as good.
This monitor is excellent for temporary installations and to monitor video signals that go elsewhere. It’s extremely crisp, mountable, and would be worth twice the price.

Many times a TV Monitor is really a TV, THIS IS NOT! It is only a monitor and has no reception capabilities.
This display is designed for installation in a car. It has composite video inputs (2 total – one for a DVD, one for a backup camera). The power is designed to be wired into the 12vdc car power. So, do not buy this for your home or computer.

This is worth every dime you pay. I got them when they were on sale, but if I had to pay more, I would. It is so wonderful to have something to occupy my son in the car.
We purchased two headrests for my husbands vehicle this past summer, which is used rarely for the children (2 and 4). Therefore, they were used on less than a dozen occasions. One headrest quit working (still has sound, no picture). We tried any and all troubleshooting solutions to no avail. We also contacted the seller for help, and cannot get an response.
This is not an expensive set of players. However, we expected more use for our money. Come on guys, where’s the customer service?
Bought these units from seller Splirow, they shipped it out quick and i had it in my hands in less then a week. I purchased the light grey version, they were very close in color to the Lexus leather, cant complain for the price. I had this system professionally installed for $200, it is not as easy as some of the reviewers mention, i am an Electrical Engineer but i would leave it to the pros to install. The included steel pipes still didn’t help, expect to not extend the headrest too high. Overall the build quality is great, features provided are sooooo cooool mp4 playback, dual view mode and so on. Highly recommend this unit.
