to my surprise you can also use your blackberry to play music and it connects to the system via bluetooth to listen to whatever music you are listening in you blackberry, as well as receive calls, make calls through your car speakers. you can also import some of your contacts.. it has a limited capability of importing contacts, i think this would be something they could work on in the future..
If you end up shopping for a new automobile audio receiver and you're on a tighter funds than typical, there is actually no cause why it is best to drop just a few hundreds dollars on that automobile stereo deck that you just want. In truth, there is no reason to drop quite a lot of hundred bucks to get your arms on a reputation - model and high quality car audio receiver. The truth is that once you reach a sure value bracket many things become inconsequential. And naturally, most individuals will fret enormously when attempting to determine on the fitting stereo deck for their dashboard.
The frustration that may go into looking for a automotive stereo system and in so doing, you can take a look at this one, top quality, title-model receiver that's well priced on all internet. One last thing to remember when purchasing for a car audio in dash receiver to know what you want and what options look for. Take a look at this well priced, and nifty, In-Sprint Receiver - Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD.
This In-dash Pioneer Avh P4100dvd receiver powers on rapidly and plays songs virtually instantly. The Ipod integration is amazingly straightforward although its frustration that there isn't any "back" button. For instance, if you happen to go to Artists: Garth Brooks: and then click the song The Dance and then determine you want to play a special Brooks music you have to go all the best way back to Artists, find Garth Brooks once more and choose a unique song. That's solely obligatory in case you are controlling the Ipod by means of the deck. You possibly can always chose to control the Ipod from the Ipod itself. That is superior feature! You can find/navigate songs so simply on ipod so it makes things very easy. Remember the fact that when you've got a 5G (80gb or 120gb) Ipod it will not work with Grasp Ipod control. You could management it via the stereo deck. The iphone and Itouch work flawlessly with master management and charging the phone.
Plenty of hook up versatility, display screen does not wash out in brilliant sunlight, plenty of adjustment for sound etc thru head unit for minor modifications after you have dialed in a separate amp. Video quality is means higher than expected. There actually aren't any negatives for this in dash receiver. It doesn't embody GPS or bluetooth but is absolutely expandable to incorporate these simply in case so if you would like you may at all times upgrade.
The perfect issues about this particular receiver are:
The total 7" screen that is crystal clear and has a tilt feature for lower-set dash locations
The customizable display screen/button illumination colors in case you're attempting to stay to a singular inside coloration theme
Full compatibility with iPod Video so when you have any video content material in your ipod you can simply get it on the screen
And of course it's simple to install
However first of all remember, if you find yourself looking for a automobile audio, in sprint receiver, it's essential to know what do you want and what features looking for.

I loaded a flash drive to test files that this receiver can and can’t play. (one by one and erasing then from the flash drive after the test)
This are the files that did not play:
.wmv -video-
.mpg -video-
.avi -video-
.m2v -video-
.divx -video- the description says that it plays DIVX format but it didn’t for me, very disappointing, I’m — _ sure that there is a tricky explanation for this. What the manufacture has to say about this?
.vob -video-
.mp4 -video-
.wav(wave)-Music- I am surprise and very disappointed that Web files won’t play, wtf ?- , I don’t know if from a CD or DVD would but from a USB it didn’t.
it did play:
.jpg -image-(foto)
.MP3 -Music-
.wma -music-
The GOOD about this receiver is the sound; it’s amazing… out of this world. Better than my Bose (of course that I am using Pioneer speakers and an amplifier)
another good thing about this receiber is that I can use the SONY (joy) Wire remote control to turn the volume up and down and to skip songs and folders. Also to fade the sound, and to change sources
if you are looking for double din size unit without build in bluetooth or nav. then this unit will be perfect, so far i have nothing bad to say about it… other than if it comes with a free remote control then it will be much greater… hahahaa
I just installed this unit in my car today and I am 100% happy with this unit. Originally, I was just looking for a single din unit that could display up to 3 lines of song titles, artists or albums via iPod. Then, I started to look at the double din units because I wanted something that was easy to read. Trying to read the text on those little single din units is just annoying! Some of the features that were important to me was being able to navigate through the menus easily, having a USB connection in the back of the unit because I do NOT want to see any wires coming out of the front of my radio and also it offers 3 RCA hi-volt-pre-outs which is important if you want to add a subwoofer and be able to add an amp or two for your front and rear speakers. I then found and decided to try this 7inch touch screen that had received so many positive reviews and I can see why.
The touch screen has a beautiful display and responds VERY well to touch. I also really like that it’s not a complicated unit. I’ve been able to figure out how to navigate through the menus without the aid of the instructions. Also, I am a sound fanatic and this radio has blown me away. Right now, I only have stock speakers and they sound better than they ever have before.
My one and only complaint, which is very small and NOT at all a big deal, is the fact that in iPod mode it does not show my playlists that I’ve created. Like I said, with all that this unit has to offer: touch screen that responds very well to touch, great overall look, easy menu navigating, great sound, amazing DVD video quality, the lack of playlists is not at all a big deal to me. On the plus side, I can use the USB cable that came with my iPod for this unit, however you do need the Pioneer USB cable if you want to watch the video from your iPod.
If God drove a car, this would be the radio He would have… I kid you not.
***:::UPDATE:::***
I’m obviously blind. The radio DOES show my iPod playlists.
So basically, in a nutshell, if an Ipod and a radio got together to make a baby… this would be it!
I have installed this product and the corresponding Pioneer XM Modules in a 2000 Honda Accord Sedan and a 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty. I refer to the AVH-P4100DVD AS UNIT OR RECIEVER IN THE TEXT BELOW. Both Installs were comparable to the average CD player install. You can purchase an aftermarket harness (Scosche or comparable brand from Wal-Mart), wire connectors, wire stripper to help complete the install. Please make sure your vehicle is accepts double-din recievers. The Accord was easy, and had a gap around all four sides, but no special installation kit was needed. The Ford F350 required a double-din installation kit and trimming of the dash (very minor, used Google to see what others have done, keywords “double-din, ford super duty, F250, F350, etc.) I recommend the purchase of the corresponding remote as well as the BYPASS KIT for the DVD player (sold separately)
Before you get started, understand removal of your old AM/FM/CD/Cassette Reciever. Many times you can get an auto repair manual for your vehicle, or use a search engine to find information on removal/installation of your old Reciever. I also reccomend a 3-6ft RCA cable to connect to the AUDIO INPUT on the back of the reviever if you use an MP3 player other than an iPod. You can route the cable to a convienent location and use a Headphone to RCA Y-Adapter for later use with the MP3 Player. The new Reciever comes with a USB Extension Cable to also route to a convienent location for use of a USB Flash Drive or connection to a USB iPod cable.
Once both installs were completed i was very pleased with the Unit. Controls were easy for me to use, picture quality was great, and the sound was most impressive. I will agree with other reviews that for the price, this is a great Unit. I would buy this product again. Definitely upgrades the appearance in both of the vehicles dash, with a more modern look.
In my Accord, the Unit is connected to the vehicles DIMMER. In this case, when i dim the dash, the display on the Unit dims to the lower preset. It is not variable, like the lights in the dash, You will notice it is SIMILAR TO a Bright/Dim setting, which is adjustable in the Unit. In the Ford F350, i believe i missed connecting to the dimmer, because it does not dim when I turn on the vehicles lights, OR when I adjust the dimmer. I will look into this. As mentioned in the other reviews, the MUTE and DISPLAY buttions are great for shutting off sound or display quickly and easily without interrupting what your viewing or watching.
I have found in the other reviews complaints about the 24-HR clock, this can be changed in one of the menus from <12HR> to <24HR>. This is why the product comes with manuals, or if you are like me, this is why you explore the product menus, WHILE PARKED.
The JUST option (as mentioned in other reviews) in the menu rounds up the HOUR for when you are SETTING THE CLOCK so you dont have to tap the minute button quite so frequently. This is similar to a Digital watch from the 80’s or even a digital clock similar to the one in the dash of my Accord.
OVERALL: FUN, EASY TO USE, SOUNDS, LOOKS GREAT. VERY IMPRESSIVE. DONT TRY TO INSTALL IF YOU HAVE NO INSTALL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED EASILY WHILE DRIVING, DO NOT TRY TO LEARN THIS UNIT WHILE DRIVING, “PRACTICE” USING WHILE PARKED.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND THE PRICE> I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT! and both were purchased from Amazon
This is a great bluetooth option for someone not having a factory bluetooth already there. I have an 06 Tahoe and installed this with my Pioneer in dash cd/dvd player. It works great, it’s easy to pair, and my phone automatically asks me to pair just like a factory adapter. Goes through my car stereo perfect. Unless you do installation as a profession, I would advise doing the project via paying someone to do so. It’s a lot of work time wise, and not to mention the electrical wiring is a bit tedious. With that said, I did price installation for about $45. Considering I didn’t buy the product from the place, that isn’t a bad price and worth every penny looking back.
It’s a highly recommended product by me, and it’s a usual Pioneer great product line.
Paired this with the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD head unit and it works perfectly. Just pair your phone to the radio and voila! Simple and makes driving safer with hands free phone operation.
I have these in both our cars. Amazing product and so easy to use. Hooks up to your phone automatically and works great….
I’m one of the unfortunate that got this adapter and it did not work at all…. why? My only guess is that I may have bought a cheap refurbished (sold as new) unit.
My main unit, aPioneer AVH-P4100DVD 7-Inch In-Dash Double-DIN DVD Multimedia AV Receiver with Widescreen Display is listed as compatible with the bluetooth adapter from Pioneer but again, “IT DID NOT WORK”.
My recommendation is to stay away from cheaper prices within amazon an purchase electronics directly from amazon.com or a trusty seller.
