After some research I found some other radios I was looking at (even the big name brands selling for 50-80$ more) had USB ports that only supported drive 2GB and smaller, or had a limit of 250 files no matter the size of the drive. This radio said it supports upto something like 47,000 files per drive so that sold me.
The HD radio sounds great, even out away from the city it comes in on a few channels. It automatically will goto the HD broadcast after its gotten a good signal for about 5 seconds, thats good since it keeps it from going back and forth all the time like some other radio I looked at. Once at an HD station, if it says HD1 they have more than one channel available, then you can goto HD2 or HD3 for music you cant hear at all on regular radio.

If you have a Sirius receiver, this antenna will make a good replacement part. It has a magnetic base – which is real handy if your job requires you to change vehicles and you want to take your radio with you – and the cable looks and feels to be the same as the original equipment cable. My original antenna (or more accurately the cable on the antenna) failed after 4 years of traveling coast to coast and into Mexico. The cable has been slammed in countless car and truck doors and simply flexed so many times it broke. I suspect that this new unit will perform every bit as well as the original as it appears to be built with the same or better quality of materials as the original unit. I would recommend this unit as a quality replacement part.
The Sirius brand is alot better than the after market one I bought. Yes you pay alittle more but from my experience it last a couple years longer (two years vs three months).
I never would have thought the antenna would be the first thing to go out(twice now).
This antenna is a beast great for car or the home if you can set it outside somehow.
The purchase was easy on Amazon.com. Even though it was the holidays, my pkg arrived in a timely fashion, undamaged. The product is just as described and we love it.
This is a good way to enjoy refreshing music that is an alternative to CDs.
Product is only okay. Had trouble initially with FM transmission to my Silverado radio (couldn’t find a station that wasn’t quickly overridden by regular stations) but Sirius techs were great and not only sent a special adapter but authorized Best Buy to install everything. Now only problem is a lot of their programming is simply from regular radio. That means commercials and the volume of those commercials is significantly higher than regular programs. That annoyance leads me to listen to a lot of local radio when in municipal areas. But when long distance traveling I appreciate “set it and forget it”. If I was starting over, I’d get a different receiver that enables a la carte and then get the cheap package.
